A blend of Filipino and Japanese architecture, the 2 bedroom villas are a great option for couples, groups of friends or small families.  Air- conditioning is available on the ground floor and toilet and bath ensuite. Additional amenities include: tea, air purifier and bed & bath products.

The private rooms have ceiling to floor windows to let the light, wind and sounds of the jungle into your room in the daytime.  At night, black out curtains may be drawn to encourage deep sleep. The minimalist architecture and well-thought of accents create an atmosphere of comfort and clarity. Featuring bath en suite and air-conditioning.

THE ISLAND

THE RETREAT

Lotus Shores was founded on the goal of Yoga, the realization of the unity of Being, often experienced in the act of wave-riding.

Life at the retreat is a celebration, exploration and preservation of the sacred wisdom that yoga and surfing have to teach us about ourselves and the world around us.  The commune is home to the island’s only yoga center, Yoga Dojo, and Kali Ma Cafe, a plant-based kitchen and restaurant.

TRUE FOOD - FARM TO TABLE

The Kali Ma Café is a whole-food, plant-based café and restaurant within the commune.

We source our produce from our growing vegetable garden and the island’s organic farms. Meals are made from scratch. Nothing from a can or plastic bag.  We work with time (e.g organic farming methods, fermentation, etc.), nature, high vibrations, and loving hands.

Each time we respond to the body’s need for nourishment, we hold the key to ending world hunger, diseases of affluence, environmental degradation, and the unnecessary suffering of beings that like us want freedom and happiness.

This power is embodied in the Hindu tradition as the goddess Kali.  Kali is power, life, and energy personified.  She represents the life-giving force, the all-pervading essence that gives rise to the animate world, and the power behind all male deities.  Kali, herself, is the power of transformation and spiritual evolution, delivering us from the suffering that is caused by the ignorance of ego-identification, to the realization of the true Self and the unity of all being.

The research on a plant-based diet and vegan life-style is unanimous: it is the single choice an individual can make where the effects are the most far-reaching and immediate.

A plant-based diet and vegan lifestyle is the only sustainable way to live on the planet where our choices reflect our spiritual nature and honoring the truth of our connected and divine existence.
